Schematic Simulation with CST Studio Suite - Design Studio

1. Laboratory

Device 1: Rectangular waveguide open-end radiator

Device 2: A coaxial probe feeder in a rectangular waveguide

1) Simulate Device 1 and get S11.

2) Connect Device 1 with Device 2 with the schematic method.

3) Optimize d, h, L for |S11| < -20 dB at f = 14-20GHz

2. Homework

Device 1: Rectangular waveguide open-end radiator

Device 2: A multilayer impedance matching circuit

Use 2-fold symmetric in simulation.

1) Simulate Device 1 using the 2-fold symmetry in the structure. Get S11 and move the reference plane to the  the aperture.

2) Connect Device 1 with Device 2 with the schematic method.

3) Optimize L1, L2, L3, L4, ¥år1, ¥år2  for |S11| < -20 dB at f = 14-19GHz using the 2-fold symmetry in the structure.
