1. Design a 50-ohm microstrip line with = 4.3, tan=0.02, h = 1 mm, t = 0.035 mm, , surface roughness = 0.003 mm

Hint:

'50-ohm' means

1) Use http://www.rfdh.com/rfdb/msline.htm. Find the strip width. Find the line wavelength at 1GHz.

2) Use http://mcalc.sourceforge.net/. Find the attenuation constant at 1GHz.

2. Design a 50-ohm coaxial line with = 2.5, inner conductor diameter = 0.6mm.
